Due to the Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market, I no longer include links to publisher content on my blog. I do this regardless of the position an individual publisher may take regarding this directive. It is too exhausting and risky for me to clarify the requirements for free usage in advance for every link I want to set.

I regret that this is the reality some press publishers desire. But the publishers fought very hard to no longer be allowed to be linked to on the internet.
